Ceramill DRS ﹣ Dental Laboratory and Practice connected in one workflow

The Ceramill Direct Restoration Solution – DRS for short – combines the latest digital technologies with cutting-edge expertise. Linking the Ceramill DRS system to the AG.Live software portal enables clinicians to create a successful team with the dental technician, to improve communication and collaboration, and to share information easily.

Dr. med. dent. Cyrus Alamouti

As the managing director of three large practices and as a digital dentist, I am delighted with the addition of the Ceramill DRS system. We can now fabricate the same precision of single restorations ourselves in the practice as we can with the big machines in the laboratory, and all on the same day without any complications. Open systems with a wide range of materials are definitely the future!

I have always been hesitant to fabricate CAD/CAM restorations as I was not convinced of the esthetics of the milled restorations. This changed when I became aware of the high level of detail and anatomy that is possible with the Ceramill DRS system. I never thought a milled restoration could look this good, certainly not with chairside milling.

  1. Convenient collaboration

Connection of the lab and dental practice via the AG.Live portal for smooth interdisciplinary collaboration.

  2. Reliable system

Fully integrated workflows, or validated third party intraoral scanners, ensure reliable application.

  3. Flexible and future-proof

The system components are of modular design. Depending on requirements, only individual components can be used or upgraded later.

  4. Speed

Milling of zirconia crowns in just 15 minutes – sintering in just 20 minutes with 16 perfectly matched Vita shades.

  5. Patient satisfaction

Patients can be treated, and have their restoration seated, on the same day.

  6. High quality end results

Perfectly fitting restorations thanks to specially developed milling strategies in two different levels of detail and speed.

Openness in a reliable system

With its open interface, the Ceramill DRS Production Kit+, as a CAD/CAM extension, now offers the option of uploading scan data, not only from Ceramill Map DRS, but also from other intraoral scanner manufacturers. So, getting started with the system is perfectly flexible. The scan data can be sent to the fabrication unit via AG.Live or shared with the lab.

AG.Live makes your work flow

With AG.Live, we support dental laboratories and dental practices holistically in their workflows and revolutionize their collaboration. The virtual platform is directly connected to CAD/CAM production systems and labs (Ceramill) and can be accessed from any Internet-enabled machine. This way, patient data can be shared in a more straightforward manner than ever before. This provides a detailed overview, interdisciplinary exchange, and simplified processes.

Various fabrication options for maximum flexibility

The manufacturing options with Ceramill DRS and AG.Live offer maximum flexibility:
Option 1: Scan, design and fabrication in the practice
Option 2: Scan in the practice, design and fabrication in the dental laboratory
Option 3: Scan in the practice, design in the dental laboratory, fabrication in the practice
All three options are integrated work processes that work at the push of a button and guarantee a smooth workflow.
